The Cathedral is situated at the mediaval crossroads in the city centre in what is now a pedestrian precinct. The spire is visible from across the city making finding the Cathedral very easy.

By train: Wakefield has two railway stations, Westgate and Kirkgate. Westgate is served by excellent regional, trans-Pennine and intercity train services and is only two hours from London Kings Cross, 25 minutes from Sheffield or 15 minutes from Leeds.
