Virtual Visits to Wakefield Cathedral
Wakefield Cathedral are now offering free Virtual Visits if you are unable to bring your class to the cathedral. For more information please see our leaflet which can be accessed below below or contact Gillian Bunn firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01924 373923
When you can once again take your class out for educational visits you will find a visit to Wakefield Cathedral or the Chantry Chapel is so much more than simply visiting a local land-mark!
- Encounter first hand these beautiful, historic buildings
- Learn within sources of primary evidence
- Take part in cross-curricular, creative workshops tailored to their age and needs
- Experience awe and wonder from a spiritual, visual or emotional perspective
Workshops are led by a qualified teacher. You may also see artists, volunteers and work experience students working as part of the team.
Our school activities are designed to meet National Curriculum programmes of study, take into account local agreed and reflect Ofsted guidance for spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
There are always plenty of opportunities for pupils to ask questions, make connections, explore ideas and reflect on their learning.
For more information or booking please contact the Community Outreach Officer, Gillian Bunn on 01924 373923 or via email at email@example.com.
