Come along to the inaugural Gaia event at Wakefield Cathedral as we share a Discussion Panel on how we can all play our part in protecting our planet.

The Discussion Panel is FREE to attend and will feature guest speakers sharing their thoughts on a range of local and wider reaching environmental issues and discussing the ways we can all make a social change for the better.

The panelists for the event are:

  • Councillor Jack Hemmingway - Deputy Leader, Wakefield MDC and Cabinet Portfolio Holder, Climate Change and Environment
  • Ms Jemima Parker - Diocesan Environment Officer, Church of England, Diocese of Leeds
  • Mr Kevin Trickett MBE, President, Wakefield Civic Society
  • Mr Arif Ahmad, Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, Spen Valley

Chairperson for the evening: The Very Revd Simon Cowling, Dean of Wakefield

Following an opportunity for each guest to share their thoughts and opinions, we will also be offering those in attendance to raise their points and join in with the discussion through a Q&A.
