Persian Christian Celebration

10 January 2019

We invite you to join us on Saturday 2nd March 2019 at Wakefield Cathedral for a celebration service to mark the publication of Persian (Farsi) translations of the Holy Communion service from Common Worship, authorised by the House of Bishops. This is an opportunity to affirm the presence of Iranians as a gift, and demonstrate our commitment to ensuring they are welcomed into the life of the Church of England.

All Anglican churches which have people from Iran in their congregations are invited to bring a group – both Persian and English people are welcome, and the service will be in a mixture of both languages as we worship God together. We hope you will join us as we pray for the church in Iran and mark with gratitude this new chapter in the story of Persian Anglicanism. Attendance is free but booking is required – please contact
