The Cathedral Kitchen is a 'not for profit' social enterprise run by the Cathedral for the benefit of the local community. All of the money raised here is put back into Cathedral funds to help preserve our wonderful historic building.
We aim to promote a healthy and nutritious menu, which offers a great range of home-cooked food and cakes. Most of our food is available in kid’s portions and we can always help make something for your little ones.
Our food is freshly prepared on our premises using locally sourced seasonal produce where possible, which may mean that preparation of your meal takes a short while.
Our teas and coffees are all Fair Trade and our supplier supports Compassion’s Water for Life charity, bringing fresh water to deprived areas of the world.
We support the local artist community by offering local artists the opportunity to show their work on a two-month basis. If you would like to show your work to the public, please get in touch with our staff at the Cathedral Kitchen.
We often have volunteering opportunities here in the Cathedral Kitchen and within the Cathedral itself. Please ask a member of staff if you are interested in learning more about volunteering.
We look forward to welcoming you. We're open Monday to Saturday 10.00 - 15.00. The Cathedral Kitchen is fully accessible for those with mobility issues and parents with buggies, and assistance dogs are welcome.
