The Cathedral Kitchen is a 'not for profit' social enterprise run by the Cathedral for the benefit of the local community. All of the money raised here is put back into Cathedral funds to help preserve our wonderful historic building.
We aim to promote a healthy and nutritious menu, which changes daily and offers a great range of home-cooked food and cakes. If you are looking for something which is not on the menu, please ask and we’ll try to help!
Our food is freshly prepared on our premises using locally sourced seasonal produce where possible, which may mean that preparation of your meal takes a short while.
We support our local economy and reduce food miles by using local suppliers wherever possible.
Our teas and coffees are all Fair Trade and our supplier supports Compassion’s Water for Life charity, bringing fresh water to deprived areas of the world.
We often have volunteering opportunities here in the Cathedral Kitchen, the Cathedral Shop and within the Cathedral itself. Please ask a member of staff if you are interested in learning more about volunteering.
Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.00pm and Saturday 9.30am to 3.30pm. We look forward to welcoming you. The Cathedral Kitchen is fully accessible for those with mobility issues and parents with buggies, and assistance dogs are welcome.
