The Tea Tree Café continues to flourish, and it’s hard to believe this wonderful community space has now been operating for three months. In such a short time, it has already become a welcoming hub where people can come together over conversation, friendship and a warm drink. It has been especially lovely to see so many familiar faces returning each week, while also welcoming plenty of new visitors through the doors.
We were delighted recently to welcome the Acting Bishop of Leeds, Bishop Toby, and to have the opportunity to show him around the café and introduce him to some of the people who make it such a special place. His visit was a wonderful encouragement and a chance to celebrate the positive impact the café is already having within the community.
A huge thank you goes to AGE UK Wakefield District for their continued offering of kindness, hospitality and good food. Their team works tirelessly to ensure everyone feels comfortable, included and warmly welcomed, and that spirit of care and community shines through every week.
