Free & low cost activities

Our regular programme of free and low cost activities for all ages is now back in action after the recess for the summer holidays. All of these events, classes and groups restarted the second week in September and will run until Christmas. Please call us for more information on 01924 373923.


Tuesdays

Free lunchtime concert at 1.00pm in the Nave. Each week a group of musicians or a soloist offers a recital performance of around 45 minutes. The audience is welcome to bring their lunch and refreshments are available. Donations are very welcome on exit.

Craft Sessions - time to create and chat. Tuesday 2.00 – 4.00pm - free. Takes place in the Cathedral after the Lunchtime Concert. Join us creating a community rug or bring a project of your own. All welcome. Contact Lindsey.


Wednesdays

Free tours of the Cathedral at 11.00am and 2.45pm. No need to book, just turn up and meet in the Nave.

Little Cherubs – Singing and music for the Under 5’s. Wednesday 1.30 – 2.00 (term time only). Cost 50p per child. Cathedral Centre, Westmorland Street. Singing is an excellent way for children of all ages to develop their vocabulary and social skills. Join us for counting, action songs and tambourines! Contact Gillian.

Little Cherubs Music and Singing sessions

Thursdays

Free board games club runs from 1.30 til 3.00 in the Treacy Hall. All are very welcome, so get out of the house and come and make new friends! We play a variety of games such as Scrabble, Dominos and Chess. A hot drink and cake is provided.
