Ripon Cathedral

In Ripon, worship has taken place on the site of the Cathedral for over thirteen hundred years. The Cathedral includes the crypt of the first stone church in the north of England, built by St. Wilfrid in 672AD. Ripon Cathedral continues to be a vibrant, living church centred on the worship of God, the welcome of visitors and pilgrims, and Christian witness to the city, region and diocese. We want to develop as a key resource for mission for the parishes and communities of this part of the diocese.
