What is Messy Cathedral?

Messy Cathedral derives its origins from Messy Church which was set up to give families the opportunity to enjoy fun and creative activities together centred around Christian values and teachings.

Our next Messy Cathedral...

We are pleased to announce that the next installment of Messy Cathedral will take place on Saturday 5 April 2024 and our theme will be Palm Praise. Come along for arts and crafts,  story and songs finishing with a simple meal. Booking is encouraged to help us with catering.

Messy Cathedral - FAQs

  • What does Messy Cathedral involve?

    Messy Cathedral can involve a variety of activities for all ages including:

    • A warm welcome for all attendees
    • Getting creative with crafts
    • Reading stories and poems and reflecting on key themes
    • Singing songs and learning actions

    Plus a free lunch or snack for all in attendance!

    Throughout the morning of activities, participants will learn about different themes or ideas found within the Christian Faith (eg around Christmas time we may learn about the Nativity or at Harvest we may learn about looking after those around us).

  • How much does it cost to attend Messy Cathedral?

    Nothing! Messy Cathedral is a completely free event to attend, no matter if you are a single-parent bringing one child or a family of twelve! 

    Any donations are greatly appreciated.

  • How do I register for the next Messy Cathedral?

    Registration is preferred but not essential.
