“Lord, what fools these mortals be!”
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is one of Shakespeare’s most renowned comedies, weaving together three enchanting storylines under the mischievous influence of the fairy trickster, Puck. Follow the adventures of four young lovers lost in a magical forest, the quarrels of the Faerie King Oberon and Queen Titania, and the antics of a group of amateur actors putting on a play. Written in 1595 or 1596, possibly to celebrate an aristocratic wedding, the play is a timeless tale of order and chaos, dreams and reality, and the complexities of love and marriage.
Founded in 1999, Chapterhouse Theatre Company has earned critical acclaim for their UK and international tours, specializing in Shakespearean plays, classic literature adaptations, and family-friendly shows.
