One of our flagship festive events of the year, Carols by Candlelight returns for 2024, a fabulous evening of carols and Christmas music with Wakefield Cathedral Choir.

As well as entry, your ticket will also get you a free mince pie and a mulled wine during the interval to really get you into the festive spirit.

Explore the heritage within our cathedral fabric, or simply take refuge from the cold and busy city centre in our peaceful sanctuary. We have guide books available to buy and our volunteers are more than happy to talk to you about our rich history.

Play dress up in our costume area, piece together our stained glass window puzzles, sit and read or do some colouring. You can also explore the beauty within the cathedral walls.
