The Rodilllian Singers 60th Anniversary Concert

27 June 2024

The Rodillian Singers will be celebrating 60 glorious years of singing together as an award-winning female voice choir by performing their Diamond Anniversary Concert in the beautiful acoustics of Wakefield Cathedral. Saturday 06 July will bring an evening of harmonious music, showcasing songs from a varied repertoire which includes show tunes, songs from the 60s and some of their favourites both old and new. It promises to be an exciting programme that has something for everyone!

The very talented Rebecca Whitlam is the choir’s Musical Director who has encouraged her singers to take on more challenging pieces, bringing an amazing level of enthusiasm and expertise. She is constantly pushing the choir to be better and braver in their music choices. The results speak for themselves.

Rebecca is also an accomplished soloist and a member of the smaller group of choir singers, Quintessential, who will also perform on the night. Their voices blend beautifully as well as powerfully.

The choir also have an exceedingly accomplished pianist in Emma Sey. She provides an added confidence, as her ability is second to none, and the choir are in awe of her talent. This will be an evening to remember.
