Lent at Wakefield Cathedral

Lent begins this week, a season of spiritual focus in preparation for Easter.  On Ash Wednesday, 05 March, our 10:30 Communion and 19:00 Choral Eucharist there will a chance to receive the sign of the cross in ash, symbol of the season of prayer and penitence.

There will also be three online Lent meditations to help us get ready for Holy Week – these will be on Wednesdays 26 Mar, 02, 09 April 1930-2030.  We will be meditating on the Lord’s crucifixion, death, and burial.  Use Meeting ID: 825 486 0102 and Passcode: 988173 or click here.
