All of us at Wakefield Cathedral grieve the death of Rachel Copley, our vibrant and valued friend and colleague. She will be sorely missed by those of us who worked closely with her here and the many friends she made in the Cathedral, as well as the many church and charitable organisations she was involved with and in the wider community. Rachel’s deep Christian faith was reflected in her tenacious care for the team and her unflagging commitment to the Cathedral’s work at the heart of our district. Rachel joined us as Development Manager in 2023 and became Chief Operating Officer in 2024. Rachel’s energy, passion, and kindness, and her lively and compassionate character, touched many and we will be remembering Rachel, and most of all her family and close friends, in our prayers each day.
