Some of you might already know this but there is a Leeds Diocesan Eco Book Group. Sadly, I can’t attend it as it invariably clashes with our own Wakefield Cathedral Book Group.
“I feel so broke up, I wanna go home.” So sang the Beach Boys back in the 1960s, in an upbeat song about feeling miserable on board a ship where things were not good!
Friday 29 September marks the feast day of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. The word ‘angel’ derives from the Greek angelos, simply meaning ‘messenger’.
A song that nearly all of us know. Small children especially love to sit on the front seat upstairs on the bus. Going on a bus is such an adventure; the wait at the bus stop hoping that no one is sitting in that precious front seat.

As Wakefield Trinity celebrates 150 years of playing rugby with over 100 past and present players, fans, staff, directors and guests gathered at Wakefield Cathedral on 21 September to mark the historic milestone. The first players came from Holy Trinity Church Wakefield and started playing on Heath Common, before moving to the current site at Belle Vue.
