Wednesday 23 March 2022 marks the second annual National Day of Reflection, organised by Marie Curie as a day to come together to support the millions of people who are grieving, and remembering the family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues we’ve lost over the last two years.

We are delighted to announce that the ongoing spire works have now been completed. The works began in December 2021 and aimed to preserve the spire from further damage following years of erosion due to adverse weather conditions.

Wakefield Cathedral will be hosting a Peace Vigil on Wednesday 16 March as an expression of solidarity with the people of Ukraine, finishing with a service with dedicated prayers at 18:00 for those caught up in the conflict.
